- An issue has been fixed with discussion images being shown in the preview when a Kialo discussion when linked on Facebook.
New Features and Functionalities
- NEW: The behavior of Kialo Edu for educators and students using the platform through an external learning management system, such as Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Google Classroom, etc., has been drastically improved. Previously, when using these learning platforms, users would have a new tab opened in their browser when accessing a Kialo discussion due to how third-party cookies are handled by modern-day browsers. With this release, users will no longer be forced into a new tab and will remain in their external learning tool, as this release has changed the way we handle users on Kialo Edu when interacting with a discussion via an external learning tool.

- Some spacing on the latest activity header of claim cards has been increased for an improved user experience.
- A minor issue with focus being lost on certain fields when adding or editing a claim has been fixed.

- NEW: With this release, a basic addon for Google Classroom has been introduced. This allows educators to use Kialo Edu directly within Google Classoom and for students to access the discussion via Google Classroom as well.

- When accessing the discussion template page, there was sometimes a minor issue with the position of the users’ scrolling not being properly restored. This has been fixed.

- A new flow for unregistered users arriving on Kialo has been introduced to allows users to interact with a template without having to signup or login, encouraging engagement for new or not logged in users.

- With the latest release, the Small Group Mode feature is now supported for educators using Canvas. If an educator is utilizing Canvas to manage their students and courses, students joining a discussion will now be correctly assigned to their group set or section corresponding to the selection of the educator.

- Previously, our Small Group Mode feature could only be turned on and once it had been done, could no longer be disabled. Now, discussion admins can also turn the Small Group Mode feature off, allowing discussion admins to be more flexible and making decision settings less permanent.
